Christmas Ham

The Christmas ham is just the best! Shame I have to share with that cat.

Fortunately I'm a bit bigger than that cat.

My New Throne

The sofa is gone. Hooraahh!!! I don't have to share with that cat any more. I have my own personal throne now. And I am loving the sheepskin.

I'm feeling better, thank you.

Yes, I'm feeling much better now. Once the staples (yes I had staples!) were out, I started to get back to my former self. People were feeling sorry for me and gave me lots of chewies. Just a couple more weeks I think for my hair to grow back.

And I was so pleased yesterday, because daddy rang me from Australia asking after me!

I've been making new friends also!

Why I don't like Great Danes!

Look what's happened to me! A Great Dane attacked me for no reason. 523,4589 and probably more, stitches I needed, I haven't finished counting! Auntie Sarah can tell you the full story.

So I was in hospital when auntie Els got back from Dallas. And more! I couldn't go to Brighton for Keir's naming ceremony. In fact I would have been the perfect prop for auntie Els' poem she read out. Ironic really.

One evening John came home from work
went into the kitchen to make himself a nice cup of tea
and on the kitchen table, in a plastic bag,
he discovered a large sliced loaf
with one of the crusts missing.
Actually it was a very large sliced loaf,
about the size of a rabbit hutch,
and John, who lived very much alone,
knew that he hadn't put it there and wondered who had.
Just then there was a rap-a-tap-tap at the front door.
It was John's new next-door-neighbour.
"Excuse me barging in", she said ,
"but you haven't seen my dog have you?".
"What does it look like?", inquired John concernedly.
"Like a large sliced loaf", replied the neighbour.
"With one of the crusts missing?", asked John.
"Yes", replied the neighbour, "she had a fight".
John smiled, went out into the kitchen,
and returned with the mysterious loaf.
"Is this her by any chance?" he asked.
And the neighbour said,
"No".

LEL Celebrations and Shed Opening

Auntie Mandy and uncle Rob organised a LEL celebration party to coincide with their grand shed opening by Lady Caroline.

It didnt' take long for auntie E to revert to LEL mode. She found floor space and promptly fell asleep. Thought I'd join her, but I can't sleep on the floor!

I can choose any lap if I want to!

Tour de France

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. Its just that the TdF is soooo gripping this year. Must tell my aunties to sort out those leads behind the tele, just doesn't look good. Thing is, they are always out cycling or on the allotment (when they are not working). Maybe in the winter they'll get back down to doing a few things in my house.

Poppy Navigating

I think you'll find its next left ... who needs a sat nav!

This is in Uncle Rob's van.

Sleep Over

This is Uncle R and Auntie M, where I had a super sleep over, while S&E were at Kate and Andy's wedding in York.

They are sooo cool! Rob let me run around without the lead, when we were at his work. S&E don't let me do this because they think I'm going to chase rabbits and roll around in dirt.

Lets go for a walk

We're all ready to go, just waiting for daddy.

Poppy now wants to go back. This is a good 'Poppy on strike' pose. Little A is doing very well holding Poppy back!

Animal Behaviour

What is going on here?

Hint: the sheepskin bed, Poppy is sitting on, is Gilly's.

The Morning Run

The morning run consists of walking to the allotment and letting the chooks out. Daisy is always first out.

Then, if I'm lucky, I get to lick the chook pot clean. There are usually some lovely scraps in there.

Robbie Robin also gets something that is supposed to go to the chooks: mealworms.

Bath Time

I don't like baths - and then that noisy hairdryer! At least I don't have to go to a parlour. And I do like being clean and shiny. Then rolling in fox poo is even more fun!

Scottish Visitors

Visitors all the way from Scotland - Edinburgh, ... and Wimbledon.
